My Top 10 Books of 2013

Here’s my obligatory (but very enjoyable to write) top books of 2013 list. A few things to mention first. These are the top books I read in 2013, not necessarily released in 2013. Also these are purely what I enjoyed the most in 2013, not necessarily the most important, nor the best in any objective sense. Many of these are academic, but not all. With that said, here’s the list.

Paul and the Faithfulness of GodWhere do I begin with Paul and the Faithfulness of God, the 1,700 page behemoth by N.T. Wright? How do I begin to review such a book? Considering factors such as its size, the difference in our views, and my own sheer busyness, why am I even taking the time to read this book? In this post I’ll address these questions and introduce the book and its first chapter.
