One of the numerous difficult texts in Paul’s letter to the Romans is Romans 11:26. What does it mean that “all Israel” will be saved? There are numerous interpretations on this passage: Is this speaking of a mass conversion within the modern nation of Israel? Is this referring to all elect Israelites throughout history? Is “Israel” referring to God’s elect, Jew and Gentile, and thereby saying that God will save all His chosen people?
